Woking Beer Festival Privacy Notice
The following paragraphs explain why and how we process data about you and
describe your rights.

We are the CAMRA team organising the Woking Beer Festival.
We are a subcommittee of the Surrey/Hants Borders branch of CAMRA, which in
turn is a branch of the Campaign for Real Ale.

- We process data about you for the following main purposes.
- To run Woking Beer Festival safely and effectively.
- To recruit volunteers for future festivals.
- Occasionally we may also need to use you data for the following purposes.

To protect the property, revenue and reputation of CAMRA, Woking
Leisure Centre and Woking Borough Council.
- To fulfil our legal obligations.

To inform you of other events that we think you may want to help at
(we will only do this with your explict consent and will not pass on
your details for this purpose).
- We process your data in the following lawful basis.

To pursue the legitimate interests of CAMRA by running the Woking Beer
Festival in order to promote Real Ale, cider and perry.
- To comply with our legal obligations.

On the basis of your consent (only for the purpose of informing you
about other events).

We collect and process the following information about you: your name and
contact details, information that will help us plan our work and allocate you
a suitable role, your t-shirt size if you have provided it, a record of your
attendance at the Festival.

When you work at the Festival you may be asked to wear a name badge (special
arrangements may be in place for volunteers in stewarding roles).
With this exception your data will ordinarily only be disclosed to selected
Festival volunteers that have been authorised by the Festival organiser.
Your data will not normally be disclosed to any other party.
In special cases we may disclose some of your data to central CAMRA and/or
our partners, this will only done to protect the assets of ourselves or our
partners.
We will not disclose your data to other parties for marketing purposes.

We will ordinarily retain you data for four years after you last volunteer or
indicate that you are still interested in volunteering.
In exceptional cases we may retain your data to allow us to comply with legal
requirements or CAMRA's policies and volunteers' charter.
After this time we may retain information to allow us to understand how well
the Festival operated but will not retain information that identifies you.
- If you find any errors in your data you have the right to ask us to correct it.

You may have the following rights.
We will consider your request in line with the regulations and the purposes
for which we are processing your data.
We will inform you of the outcome of your request.
- To ask us to erase your personal data.
- To ask us to restrict processing of your data.
- To object to our processing of your data.

You also have a right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office
which regulates the processing of personal data.

Your data is updated when you communicate with us and we allocate staff to
roles and record attendance.
